Appearance 'down below'

I know i can't be the only one who is a bit self concious about the way i look in the nude especially after having children. Does anyone else have any hang ups about the way 'it' looks and feels to others and this goes towards the men as well. (childbirth apart)

You made a baby!! You did something miraculous and single handedly pushed it into this world. I'm gently hugged all the way round with stretch marks and bear an ugly scar where they had to fight their way in to get my daughter out. She asked me about the stretch marks not so long ago and I said that they were simply little reminders about how lucky I was to have her. Women obsess constantly about "down there". Believe me, it's very unlikely that its as bad as you think.
I highly recommend a night out with the girls, go see The Vagina Monologues!! haha

I think we spend enough time obsessing about how we look as it is. Our hair has to look good, our make -up should be just right, our boobs need to look big enough but not too big and lets hope they're not starting to drift south, God forbid, does my bum look big in this??????? You bet it does, and am i wearing this seasons clothes or am i out of fashion already!!!!!!, im damned if im gonna start worrying about things i cant even see !
FEE_B77 "im gently hugged all the way round with stretch marks" , i just absolutely love that description! Thats the way we should look at any changes we have had to our bodies due to the most amazing and wonderful thing that is childbirth!

I have been very lucky to have gone through 4 pregnancies without a single stretch mark or any tears and stiches 'down below' so I would guess I look ok down there, but seeing as I can't personally see unless I strategically place a mirror....on second thoughts I won't try that!
As for the rest of me,far from perfect indeed...... oh well!

I think in general terms that the way you look says a lot about you, and we often try to do something with our looks to emphasise the parts of our personality that we want to project. Human brain cells and emotions are quite often triggered by visual stimuli which rush thoughts to the neurons in our brains to tell us what we are seeing. Sometimes this is misconstrued, or just plain wrong.
As said above, you are thinking about what your body has been through and your brain is telling you that after all of that, it must be bad. Where in actual fact it probably isnt.
Similar transgressions arise when we see women who dress in certain ways as tarts or bimbos when for all intents and purposes they may be very intelligent, demure or lovely people. Or someone who doesn't keep themselves neat and tidy (trimmed) is uncouth. Our brain is telling us all sorts.
When I look in the mirror, my thought processes give me a solid whack on the funny bone, as I always end up laughing. But that is better than looking at myself and crying isnt it? Anyway, Id much rather just stare at the wife, especially in the nuddy (her not me).

Trust me - any man getting a sight (and more!) of a new 'front bottom' is concentrating on enjoying it, and making sure the lady who owns it enjoys it too - he is not at all concernd with analysing it for shape and design!
If a man is close enough to a woman to have children with her, he will already be way past the stage of finding his love and affection in anything to do with her proportions or appearence.
Men do not look at women's 'areas' and compare them with other women - unless they are too shallow to be bothered with - they are fare too busy wondering about their own 'dimensions' and how they - ahem! - measure up!
Panic not - I'm sure your partner loves you just the way you are. My wife is 51 and has had three children, and i find her as arousing now as i did when we first went to bed together - we have both aged physically, but we have also grown closer and more comfotable with each other - and I wouldn't swap that feeling for a new 'God I hope I look OK ...' scenario, with anyone!

I was terrified about it. Being with the father of my kids was no consolation either. I was obsessed with "it", I bought Pelvic Weights, bullied my doctor into letting me see the post~natal physio so I could have how strong my pelvic contractions were, anyway I wasnt settled by it, till after I split with my partner and finally went to bed with someone else. He told me I was the first mum, he had been with and was surprised cause I was all neat lol I think guys need to tell us nice things about "it" more often.
