How do you go about getting a book published? what if someone rejects it then changes it slightly and publishes it?
Im asking as I want to write a self help book myself but dont know where to start.

its about a small boy who ends up in care
after his father kils his mother and then shoots himself, and about his courage and the relationship he builds with his psychologist.
no drchasuble i dont have an agent, am trying to get one.
nic , no one can publish it wihout permission, they dont have the full manuscript.

get yourself a writers hand book, there have a list of agents and publishers in there.

If this is the career you have chosen then rejection is a part of it. Most creative people in all fields suffer rejection after rejection. You will have to deal with it. Every step backward is a step forward.
