Unless you mean an extension to an existing socket, which is connected the same as any other phone socket.

if you are trying to wire a 2 wire socket then you need to connect the wires to pins 2 and 5, doesn't matter which way around.

if you are connecting an extension socket then you should connect the blue with white stripes to pin 2, the white with blue stripes to pin 5, and also the orange with white stripes to pin 3. The orange wire to pin 3 is to carry the ringing circuit from one socket to another. Make sure that you connect up both ends of the cable using the same colour code.
