what is he entitled to?
My Step Daughters boyfriend has told her he wants to end their relationship. They live together in a house she purchased 4 years ago. He moved in approx 3 years ago. His name is not on the mortgage or any of the utility bills apart from the council tax. At times he has been out of work but has been giving her 100 a week when in work.
Despite him wanting to end the relationship he is refusing to leave the house. He wants her to leave and has promised that he will go in 2 months time.
If she doesn't he is saying he will make her put the house on the market and he will expect half of the profit which is apprx 25,000.
Is he actually entitled to half or anything?
Is her leaving the house a good idea?

your step-daughter is the legat owner of the house, on which her ex has no claim. Whatevermonies he is entitled to probably will have to be decided at court, if he is so inclined. Your step-daughter must not, under any circumstances move out or sell the house. The ex boyfriend will be entitled to certain monies for his imput. If however your daughter has been the major money earner during the three year relationship, his payout will be minimal. He cannot make her sell the house.
