The speedo has packed up in my 406, and although it has been fitted with a new transducer, it still refuses to work. Any ideas please

the Nylon drive.. in the box?
Jack up one wheel and carefully feel the drive as a friend rotates the wheel.

is that the gear box?

yes.. it is a small round plastic gear that sits in the gearbox,
