What on earth is Cleo doing??

Can anybody explain what the hell has happened to CLeo on BB?? Her clothes, accent, hair? WHAT???

Cleo is 44 years old, has never been married, and still lives with her mother. She has an eccentric personality borne of insecurity and a desperate need to be loved and taken notice of - the like of which I've only otherwise seen in GMTV's Penny Smith. I'm willing to bet my house both Cleo and Penny experienced rejection from their respective fathers in some form. Dirk is the latest in a long-line of men Cleo desires but don't desire her. Rather than keep her attraction subtle, she ultimately blows her chances right out the water - and that's what we've just seen her do. Rather than let rejection, which psychologically she sees as inevitable, happen to her, she brings it upon herself. She has, in a word, imploded. Pity because til tonight she had a good chance of winning CBB and thereby giving herself some much-needed self-esteem. The only housemate with an unblemished record now is Ian / H.

Cleo is known for portraying fictional characters - this one was called Tiara. As far as I'm aware its one of the characters she did in her media work in the past. She simply wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine and I applaud her for that. I don't think she is a desperate, sad woman, she wanted to make Dirk feel uncomfortable as he makes women in the house feel that way on a regular basis. He speaks inappropriately to them, he is moody and she was playing tit for tat (if you'll forgive the pun!)

Dirk wasn't trying to make any woman in the house feel uncomfortable. He was flirting a bit with Shilpa, but left it at that.
He made a witty remark about missing his porn mags to Jo and Danielle.. they are not exactly blushing virgins are they?
Then Clio leapt into her 1977 Kenny Everett show routine again (the last time she was famous) (the last man she ever loved etc).
God, can someone tell that woman that she's not half as funny as she thinks she is.

Dirk certainly had a good feel of Shilpa didn't he after he'd showered. What a vile horrible man.
She would have beeen laughing out of sheer embarrassment.
Cleo made him feel just as uncomfortable. I mean after all, you wouldn't want to go and have a good feel of his balls now would you?

In answer to Pippa68 - Cleo was 15 when she auditioned for the Kenny Everett show and 16 when she started working on it. She lied and told them she was 18. I'm not her biggest fan or anything but I just started reading her book after topically finding it in a chazza shop.

she was just having a laugh and playing dirk at his own game - and he didn't like it!

he blew the whole thing up out of all proportion, he is a miserable sulky old man and cleo is quite right when she says he still thinks he is 'the face'.

he was annoyed because he didn't know what to do, she had taken the power away from him and he is an old fashioned guy and couldn't take it.
he spoke later, after hours of sulking, as though she was pure evil! hardly fair!

i agree she should have stopped sooner, when she realised he wasn't going to join in the joke, but all she did was make a few saucy comments and lean on him. admittedly it wasn't particularly funny, but i suspect that was because she was a bit thrown at his hostility.

why can't a women have a joke without it being branded desperate and lonely. what a pathetic thing to say!
