I have just sat through Spy Kids, sorry er Thunderbirds - I couldn't believe the blatant Product Placement by Ford . Could this be the most obvious use of a movie as an advert?

Also the Matrix films had mobile phones, can't remember they were either Ericcson or Motorola.
Haven't seen TB and no desire to, but I do hate product placement. We're bombarded with marketing constantly, not least in the 15 minutes before the film starts at the cinema. Is it too much to ask to keep the 90 mins of the film itself ad free? I think the lesson is obvious - avoid big blockbusters like the plague. support independent, innovative, groundbreaking filmmakers. here endeth the lesson.
