Spellcheck is playing up

Greetings all you experts out there. When I try and spellcheck an e-mail on my Windows 98 e-mail, I get a box telling me that there is a problem with Spellcheck. Fine, but it doesn't tell me what the problem is, or more importantly, how to fix it. Can anyone assist please?

What's the exact error? What email program are you using? ( Hint: Click on Help - About)

Spell check is a part of Microsoft office. It will only work in outlook express if you have office installed + the dictionary. If you have offce, does the spell check work in Word?

It says "Error occured while checking spelling" and there is a yellow triangle. A blue bar advises that it is Microsoft Outlook. Thanks Headrush.
