Yeah, Jim Profit I think the nasty man was, brilliant little series on channel 4 a while ago. Didn't he cry like a baby for his Mum in his box but had no scruples by the day?

i googled and found it, so i knew it wasnt a dream, but no one else had seen it, till you :)
I wish I'd taped the series when it was first shown! (On Sky Two, I think). Alas, I didn't spot the more recent BBC2/C4 repeats. I've voted for the show on TVShowsOnDVD on the off chance that enough votes might lead to a release. In the mean time, the episodes aren't hard to get on P2P, but they all seem to have subtitles in French. This is the only site I found last time I looked: http://dpcc.com/lpetix/profit/ (In case you didn't guess, I loved the show!)
yeah i thought it was good too, i missed the last episode, i know it was dropped for some reason, mabey it was a bit too wierd for its time and wasnt popular enough, i still see jim poping up in other progs and films from time to time though,i saw it on c4 i think and it was about five years ago.whats p2p btw
Only 1/2 the episodes were shown in the US until sometime in the last 3 or 4 years! The programme got great reviews over there, but the general public didn't "get" the show (alas). Adrian Pasdar aka Jim Profit claimed to have given up acting in an interview on the "Near Dark" DVD, but as you said he still seems to turn up from time to time!
P2P is peer-to-peer: the most famous example is probably Kazaa. There is a good run-down here: http://www.slyck.com/ , which covers most of the main networks. I find the eDonkey network to be the best for older/more obscure shows and would recommend eMule if you want to go down that route for "Profit". There is someone on eBay offering the series on VCD for around 30, but (reading between the lines) s/he has just downloaded them and burnt them to VCD at home!
thanks, makes you wish youd just taped it the first place eh, adrian was in a recent episode of the new twilight zone so he must still be acting , wouldnt it be great if he made a new profit!
