I have really thick hair, so do you think the wider plates would be best for me or are the thinner ones easier to use etc?
Any opinions on GHD's are welcome.
p.s. I know there have been alot of questions about hair straighteners and i have looked through them all. I'm just asking about the width of the plates, not the brand.
GHD's are excellent straightners. They thame my birds nest of a hair style so they can do anyones. If you have midlength to long hair, use the wider plates, they will be more effective and you won't be holding them on your hair as long. If it's a bit short the narrow ones will work perfectly well.
Both are really good on any hair type. I have thick hair and prefer the wider ones, my daughter has really long thick hair and prefers the thin ones. Both are really good.
Hi, as long as you go for either the salon styler or the original straighteners not the mini styler as its tiny and will take forever, you will be fine, they are the best a girl can get!
just be careful with getting GHD's as i know there have been many reported problems of them setting alight and such like, so just be very careful if you get some.
I have just bought a pair of Tesco own brand ceramic straighteners, they are just like the GHD ones, but at a fraction of the price - 9.97 ! They are fantastic and I have shoulder length, very thick hair ! Highly recommended.
I have long thick wavy hair and i have the wide plate GHD's. My mum has short curly hair and uses the thin ones. I have borrowed hers before and they take a lot longer although they do still work ok on my hair.
i have the wide ghd and they are amazing ive tried about 6 other types and these are the only ones that were any good. expensive but worth every penny .
I have both, I got the wider ones first and they are brilliant cause I have long and thick very curly hair. I got the medium plates so that I can style with it to, its hard to do the flicks, with the larger plates. However the big paddle knocks 15 minutes off my straightening time.
i have thick hair and i have the normal size ghd's.
My hairdresser always tells me I should use the wide plated ghds but cannot afford a new pair at the moment!
Thanks guys. I'm going to go for the wide plate GHDs.
I know their expensive but i have had 3 other straighteners in the past (all of them being expensive but not ghd's) and i dont feel that my hair is straight. so here goes...
