Jersey or Guernsey ?
Planning a trip to the Channel Islands this year. Not having been before, we are uncertain as to which island to choose to stay. Should welcome opinions and the reasons why ? Thank you.

Guernsey does tend to be a bit dearer but I found the difference of a quieter holiday worth it. Quiet I mean in the number of tourists not in decibels!
Actually, they're both worth visiting if you get the chance.

We have been to Jersey four times & Guernsey once, & we would go back to Jersey anytime ,Guernsey just does not compare in our opinion. We stayed in four different parts of the Island which were quiet & picturesqe but if we wanted the night life we were only a short distance away from St. Helier. The Island is a floral paradise.clean, no yobs or grafiti with buses to take you anywhere you want to go,but car hire is very cheap and the maximum speed limit is 40 mph ( some places 15 mph ) Can't recommend it enough !
Guernsey is much quieter, so it depends on the type of holiday and your age group.
We liked Guernsey because it was less commercial than Jersey and we took the car & even bought plants from the roadside, very trusting-- leave the money in the box, but Jersey we hired one, both islands you will need transport to see the whole island. If you choose Guernsey be sure to take the day trip to Herm and another to Sark.
From Jersey we went to St Malo so be sure to take your passport.
Good luck
