childrens play area

Hi last year we sectioned some of our garden off into a play area for the kids. My husband put up a fence to keep the dog out. We put bark down but now have decided to lift it as it is awful looking now. Has anyone any ideas as to what we could put down. We do not want to spend to much money but something safe enough for the kids Many thanks

No idea where you would get it from, but what about that 'spongy' stuff that's used alot in childrens parks?
