The first trailer (complete with puppets) for the new series will air this coming weekend, so I assume that the series will start sometime in February.

TVZone ran a news item this month that there will be spin-off series starring Gene Hunt and set in the 80s.

dont think the BBC meant for this to be "released" as theres no link from the main page - if you want to spoil the other 7..you just have to change the ep1 to whatever number you like up to 8
