I am trying to get Broadband through Orange. They say the connection is ok, but when I try to open up anything I get "This page cannot be displayed, and check your configuration settings and internet dial up etc, etc.".I have spent time (and money) on calls to Orange and Microsoft and followed both their advice and mixed instructions with no luck. Therefore can any ABers help, (preferably in layman's terms!) PLEASE?.
I had the exact same problem last week with a new bt hub. After a few hours on the phone getting passed from pillar to post it had (and i`m sorry but its difficult to explain- not that i`ve been traumatised by this) :) something to do with the ISP numbers. I had to tick a box that had no ISP numbers in it. I`m sure somebody who knows where this setting is can fully explain. If it is the same problem I was havin this should sort it out.
Thanks for that Teash, but I don't know where to start with changing anything . Please could you be a bit more specific with what you did ?.
Otherwise any other help is still appreciated.
