Why bother with a skate-off on DOI?

Phil Gayle skated miles better than Ulrika Jonsson in the Dancing On Ice skate-off, yet that was completely ignored by the judges. I seriously wnder if a black person will ever win a UK reality TV series. And oh my gawd, what did Ulrika look like - a cross between Ursula Andress now (aged 71) and the late Lena Zavaroni. Hid-e-ous!

I dont actually watch this but did see the skate-off and have to say i agree with you.ulrikas routine involved her partner doing all the work whereas phil actually did his part.

This year they do all look like they are more professional than other series. Do you believe they havn't skated before I'm not sure!!??

Oh come on...

Phil was skating like Frankenstein on valium. Boring, clumpy and stilted. It's obvious that he wasn't going to last the course.
I'm not a fan of Ulrika (and will be glad when she goes) but she was simply better than Phil when it came to poise, style and grace. Nothing to do with skin colour.
