Sky TV alternative

I am a satelite customer who is sick of the price I'm paying. there is no cable in my area, are there any other alternatives to sky?

But there is FreeSat from Sky, which is similar to FreeView but you get it through your Sky dish.
No monthly fee, and you can get about 120 channels.
Cannot get the Sports or Movies of course, but it is a good way to got a lot more channels without paying out all that money each month.

I think if you already have the Sky box and dish there is just a cost of �25 for the card, a one off payment.

I purchased a system from Maplin that consists of a set top box and dish.
By directing your dish to pick up Astra 2 you will be able to pick up hundreds of channels. Unfortunately the Sky channels are encrypted but there are lots of others.
You can if you wish tune your dish into other sattelites in the Northern hemisphere but most, however not all channels are in foreign languages.
