I have two rather old, but sound and comfortable, green plastic garden chairs. Time, weather and sun have taken their toll and they are looking tatty. It seems a pity to dump them and I'm wondering if there is any kind of paint or spray that could be used to revive them. Has anyone had experience of this please?

There are paints , in spray cans, made specificly for use on plastic. They should be available at any good diy store. I won't reccomend a brand because you may not be able to get it outside the states. Cleaning and light sanding was all I did to mine (before painting) and they are still looking good after one summer's use.
Plasticote from B and Q . Then make some colourful cushions.
