I have been told by my employer that to keep my job I have to work full time.
I have only been with the company for 8 months so don't know if I have any rights. I don't think it will be possible to work full time with 3 kids aswell so will have to find another job. What do I tell new employers if they ask me in an interview why I'm leaving?

Tell them the truth, its a good enough reason to leave. I take it you've been working part time for the past 8 months? If so then your employer should already realise that part time is what you need. If you're applying for part time jobs now, they will think its fine so don't worry and good luck :)
i agree, it shouldnt be a problem as they should understand that most mums want to get back to work. your employer surely cant make you work ful time unless you have signed a full time contract. maybe theres something better out there for you anyway.
