hubby is off to real madrid in 2 weeks for the footie with easyjet. whats the best way to get into madrid from the airport?? thanks

went,last year for the arsenal game,train from the airport goes to the stadium,(well 300 yds away)

thanks steve but they are going to hotel in madrid first as its fri nite when they land.
The underground runs from the airport to the city centre with only a couple of changes. An extra line was being built to make it even easier - that may be open by now. It's as easy as London underground.
in that case,get a cab,its about 35/40 euros
The Barajas Airport Metro station is situated at Terminal T2 Trains leave every 5 minutes from 6.00am to 2.00am. Line 8 goes straight to the newly reformed Nuevos Ministerios Metro station in the centre of Madrid, with a journey time of just 12 minutes.

[watch out for pickpockets though...]
we got a bus, its a special airport bus that runs from the airport and straight into the heart of madrid hotel sector and back again, its very cheap and clean and safe.

You could find out what number it is from the web or even when you arrive at the airport.
Taxis are pretty reasonable if my memory serves me right.
