I've just made a paypal account on my email address, but my mum also had a paypal account on my email address. Will her account now be gone, or can we still both carry on using the same email address for different accounts?

from my experience using paypal, you can only have one paypal account per email address. So i would have thought your mums account will have been closed or that it wouldnt have been registered to that email address in the first place. hope that helps

Yeah I'm sure when trying to set it up it would have told you that the email is already being used.

But maybe it will except the same email address as you will both have different ebay IDs and passwords?

It`s only one per email addy. I know from experience.
