The mini-bus service is easy and cheap. Be carefull changing money as the advertising boards rarely tell the truth even at the main exchanges. The best are small jewelry /gift shops where you have the time to check what you are getting. Don't change too much as you are not supposed to bring any out, and it's worthless anyway.

Rubbish - you can change it at any BdeC in the UK at (as these things go) as fair a rate as any other currency. Given the number of visitors from the UK to Prague it's a reasonably desirable currency for them.
Not being able to bring any home went out of the window years ago.

Oh, and beware when getting on and off trams. They have a pickpocketing problem blamed on "gypsies". I took a party of 40 there a couple of years ago and 6 of them had attempts made to rob them on trams.
But it's a lovely city, good exchange rate and cheap everything. Excellent beer. Our cheapest meal worked out at 3 per head including drink. Hope you like garlic!

I spend a lot of time in Prague and I haven't come across anyone who takes Euros. ATMs when you get there are your best answer - Czech Koruny are readily available over the counter here at any Bureau de Change, so get a few quids worth to see you over the first day or so. Standard tipping practice is to round up your bill to the next convenient round figure; huge tips are not necessary or expected. Sterling is easy to change in Prague, but you'll get a better rate at an ATM. I was last there in November, and the exchange rate was about 40 Koruny to the pound.
