Frustrating internet searches.
Can anyone tell me why the internet at times appears to be stupid or just thick. I wanted a portable windscreen blower, and got mobile phone holders - screwdrivers and endless other gadgets. I put in 'windscreen blowers', 'Windscreen heaters' 'blowers for windscreens' , AHHHHHHHHHH!!

I assume that you mean you typed these phrases into search engine, but you don't mention which one.
Typing "Windscreen Heaters" into Google brought up loads of hits, including this one

Keep in mind that all a search engine does is scan web pages for occurences of the words you have typed.

I am not saying it happens in your case, but some web sites "hide" words on their web pages that they hope will come up in a search.
Say you had a site that sold photos of film stars or film star autographs and you wanted your site to appear when anybody searches for famous people.
In your web pages "keywords" area (which is hidden from the user but does get found by search engines) you could put keywords like "paris hilton nude" or "brittany spears nude" and so on.
Some people even put words on their web pages, but in an invisable font, so the user does not see it but a search engine may find it.
The whole business of searching and getting your web pages found in searches is a massive industry and companies pay millions to make sure their pages appears in searches.
The guys who started Google have become multi millionaires on the back of the Google seach engine.
