how do u become a college tutor

Could someone help me please, as im finding it hard to work out the best route in to teaching at college level, i dont have a degree, i work for an army youth team and we work a lot with school children and college students and i would love to make this a perminent job change if any1 could put me in the right direction a friend suggested certificate in education
