I seem to have accumulated a fair amount of potatoes for some reason. They're ok ( haven't sprouted yet ) Can anyone suggest any recipes that would use up both old and new ( not necessarily together )

Then mix in some grated cheese til melted (mature gives a lovely taste or you could experiment with stilton etc).
Then pop some more grated cheese on the top and bake in oven at 200c/375f for about an hour til lovely and golden.
Is lovely with beans or sausage. You could even pre-cook the sausage and add it to the pie.

Different types of mash are lovely too, try adding some wholegrain mustard and serve with some lamb and a red wine gravy and fresh green veg.
Potatoes can also be added to many a homemade soup to provide texture, how about a nice leek and potato?
Stuffed jackets are lovely, make baked potatoes then remove the potato, mix with whatever you like such as cheese and bacon or keep it simple with some butter onion and chives then place back in and serve.
Hash browns are lovely, grate potato and pop in some kitchen towel to absorb some of the water, brush with some butter and fry in oil. Lovely with beans and bacon.
Sauteed potatoes are gorgeous with gammon, parboil some sliced potato then sautee gently in a pan.
