There's a little tribute to him in animals and nature if you would like to add to it.

thank you for that. Glad Im not alone in the way I feel. All donations go to Rick Stein's kitchen please.
Awwww i liked him too :o( RIP Chalky.
aww that is really sad :( He was a lovely little dog. It wont be the same without him.

He wasn't a nice little dog! He was consistently badly behaved and aggressive. I am sad for Rick as he obviously loved him but let's not kid ourselves he was a fine specimen of a dog.
I have to agree with you drchasuble but that was what endeared him to me! I liked the fact that he didn't put up with anything or anyone he didn't take to!! If only we were all brave enough to be like that...mind you, I don't think people would be so tolerant of a humna behaving like that!
I didn't say to that to be evil either. I was just stating a fact.

My dog is a total sh1t too but when he goes off to ASBO doggie heaven I'll be gutted. Will not forget though that he spent his life being a complete wally.
great little character, it's a shame!
Oh, and when he squared up to a butch sheep 10 times the size of him! He was a cheeky little b****** but we loved him! Hope he's terrorising cats up in dog heaven with Moose (Eddie) from Frasier.
