Flea advice please!!!

Hi, sorry if this may sound silly but here goes......We have been looking after my parents Golden Retreiver for a while & discoverd that it had fleas. The dog has gone back home now but I have been itching my scalp & checked my hair and found eggs attached to the hair strand!!!
Could this be flea eggs or nits???? Is there a difference?
I have have not been n contact with anyone who may have this except the dog!
What could it be? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've never heard of fleas laying on humans - but who knows.
I'd hasten to chemist and get some anti-nit stuff for my hair. It would probably work on fleas as well. Also suggest that you get some flea powder and spread it around where dog lay - and also dust the furniture in taht room.

If you go to the local vets you can but a spray that kills all fleas and eggs. i am not sure what it is called but you spray it in the middle of the room and shut the doors and windows and leave it for about an hour before airing the room out. We used it when our cat came home with fleas and we were getting bitten. It worked a treat!!

i agree with the above though... also go to the chemist as it doesn't sound like fleas in your hair

Sounds like head lice...nothing to do with dog fleas. You can get special shampoo from chemist. Dont forget to "do" all of family because they are bound to have caught them from you or you from them

and remember your imagination can play a part in this. Once you imagine an itch like this it can drive you nuts - I know, I've been there!

I know for a fact I've got something in my hair as I picked the eggs out of my hair lastnight!!!!!! Or at least thats what I thought it was!

Whats the difference between Lice & Fleas
