msn messenger disconnects by itself

After trouble free messenger years, suddenly now after a couple of mins chatting it suddenly disconnects and starts a countdown to re-connect, I reconnect and it repeats this proceedure. Anyone else suffering, is there a reason and a cure please. I have broadband and the latest messenger 8.

it seems like if the internet connection is being blocked BUT no worries Windows live messenger 8. is a very bad version of messenger try windows 7.5
