I'll forget your English, Bananasquash, because you probably know it's bad, and you may even have done it on purpose. It's also less important than what you had to say.
I can't agree with you though. I only buy the books because I can't criticise what I haven't read. However, I happen to think the HP books are very overrated, underedited and have far too many subplots to be a plausible read. Fair dues, though, the author's got a lot of kids reading who wouldn't have done so otherwise, so it can't all be bad.
The films, taken away from the books, are a different matter. Effects, acting and direction are generally very well done. It's not often the film is better than the book, but I think, in this case, it is so.
