neti pot & hopi candles
8 Answers
d+d widow mentioned a 'neti pot' [see head colds] that you fill with salty water and tip up your nose to flush out your sinuses. Where do you get them from, any more tips on how to use? Anyone tried hopi candles [burnt just above your ear] to draw out hard wax & stuff. Anywhere in west sussex where both/either are available? ta.

They're very simple to use, you fill with luke warm water and add just a tiny amount of salt and stir. Tip your head to one side (do this over the sink or bath!!!) and place neti pot gently in one nostril (tip head left for right nostril and vice versa). slowly pour half of the contents through nostril (don't let it go down your throat, it should pour out of the other nostril), then repeat on other side. try to avoid blowing your nose afterwards as this will just fill your nose up again!!! hope this helps. good luck trying it.
