son sleeps in next room
9 Answers
he's 20 and although he works he cannot afford to get his own place to live, to cut a long story short my hubby is getting extremely impatient with me because i cant bring myself to have sex knowing my son is in the next room, does this sound normal or am i being silly?

As long as you aren't vocalising any phrases that might help him actually picture what you are up to, I would just carry on. When my mum and dad split up and she started seeing someone new, I used to turn my radio up and get on with whatever I was doing.
Your not being silly! l can see where your coming from, i could just image the funny looks he'd give you next morning at brekkie!! lol
couldnt you ask him to stay overnight with some mates at the weekend so u and the hubby can have a romantic night in?
tell him to ****** off out for valentines night, i mean he is an adult himself, im sure if you drop some hints he'll get the picture..hehe!!
dont feel guilty either you and your hubby need some time alone together!!
good luck :)

Who says it has to be in the bedroom. Sneak down to the front room or on top of the washer while it's running i've heard adds a little something. Sex doesn't just have to be at night and in bed. Surprise your hubby one night and take him by the hand and lead him somewhere other than the bedroom. Make a game so each of you gets to pick the next place, it'll add to the excitement. You can always try the bedroom on those nights sonny boy is out with his friends. Hey do you have a garage? how about in the back seat of the car?(with it parked in the garage of course, dont want you to get arrested or anything)
Completely sympathsize fruitsalad, our son's 20 too! We're lucky in that hes often out late either at work or socialising, however it can still be difficult for that spontaneity! Like the others say grab the opportunity when he goes out be it morn, afternoon or eve, keeps it exciting. We try to go away for weekends, doesn't have to be expensive, you can get bed and breakfast quite reasonable and the travelodges often do cheap promotions.
Im 20 and living at home, I very occasionally hear my parents and although it's not very nice to have to hear its great to know they still have that kind of relationship! Also, my boyfriend often stops round and I wouldnt not have sex with him just because my parents are in, so can't really expect them not to!
