I dont suppose anyone knows of a free programme to get rid of all the viruses and things that are in my pc. Ive tried registry repair2.0,but that only got rid of some of them.pleez help.

I use avg and I think most peeps on here will agree that is one of the best free anti virus proggrames on the web but there are also a load of others of course but for me its avg just google it.

also download spybot search and destroy for spyware removal am not sure if i have spelt this correctly as have had a few beers but think its right good luck chalky

Sorry to be a pain but have you set up a firewall to stop the nasty little bugs getting in in the first place

My favourite programs are as follows:

AVG - As previsouly mentioned, gets rid of viruses - free to use too! There is also a AVG ANTI-SPYWARE program that is excellent as well
CCLEANER - Great free system cleaner with a fantastic registry fix built in!
HIJACK THIS - Removes Internet browser hijacks and other nasties

The best all round protection against malware and spyware is SPYSWEEPER

Its not free but at �25 it's not that expensive either and it's a fantastic program

Its not advisable for a novice to play around with HijackThis as it deletes items from the Registry.

if you have a geninue copy of windows you can used windows defender which you can get from the microosoft website which is free and i use this myself.
