well when I say I am going down the pub for a few and lets say 30 units (pints, wine and tequila) later I go home, I would say 30 is a few.

Its not 2, thats a couple, a few is 3 no more than 5 though

It depends on your sex and what you are talking about.
To my wife a few beers are too much to me they are not.
To me a few pairs of shoes are too much to my wife they are not.

if you're not going to have many then you say im having a couple but if you want more you say a few! That way you can keep going cause no-one knows how many a few is! We are talking beer here arent we RB??????
