why is it over 50% of what we buy in the US comes from china or shipped from china when we are never in good terms with china and also the trade diff

because they make it a lot cheaper then anybody else.

The rich nations don't like China because they can make everything cheaper than anyone else in effect putting our own manufacturers out of business or causing them to set up shop over there.

It's the free market global economy and we have no right to complain.

We've grown rich on it and are slightly pi55ed now that countries like China are catching up and beating us at our own game.

I'm sure it'll all even out over the coming decades but it's going to be a painful process.

I'm sure the USA will get over it when they sell millions of copies of Microsoft Visa at inflated prices to China. Monopolies are worse than having reduced prices.

who said we are not in good terms with china. WE sometimes make noises about human rights violations and the chinese dont pay any attention. In the end we cannot afford to not be friends with China. they are the super power. we wait in a line and if they want to talk to us they will. wake up. the world order has changed.
