Sounds simple but could do with sum advice, i recently purchased a graphics card with a tv/dvi out slot. I would like to know is it possible to connect my normal (Non- HD, Plasma, LCD) 28inch phillips tv. If possible wot kind of cable(s) do i require? Also if this is possible could i then watch live internet streams via my TV?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The usual output for TV on video cards s is S-Video (looks a bit like a mouse or keyboard socket). If your card is like this, then you will need a matching socket on your TV, or (if the AV- in is configurable) you will need to set one of the Scart sockets to S-Video, and get an S-Video to SCART adaptor.
If it is S-Video (or a single yellow [composite video] RCA socket), then you will need to either run the line-out from your sound card to the Audio in of your TV, or listen to the audio on your PC speakers.
