electric windows

i own a vw gulf estate and the elactric window on the drivers side as stopped working, the one on the passengers still works however. Any ideas what the problem could be and how to solve it?

because one side works one doesnt, its not likely to be a fuse
you dont say if the rear(if fitted) work..
if they do or arent fitted I would duspect either a dodgy seized window motor or broken wiring that connects the door to the car
