Alert Beeps

Hi,

Is there a way to stop a computer beeping everytime there is an alert, without muting the sound on the computer.

For e.g if you are permanently deleting an item, the computer will beep and display and alert window.

Control Panel>Sounds and audio devices. Click the Sounds tab; you can either select "No Sounds" to turn off ALL beeps etc, or just disable those that annoy. If doing the latter, I'd advise saving the revised sound scheme so that you can re-implement it if for some reason it goes out of whack.
