I have long, thick hair and have found a friend's GHD straighteners work very well. I am after your views on your GHD straighteners; which model do you have and whether they work well? :-) Thank you!

V quick delivery of genuine article at a fab price of 79!
They are fab - you will never use any other straighteners!
long thick hair, go for the wide paddle GHD ones, talke less times. people will tell you all the time it makes no difference, ITS LIES. GHD rulez!! I have each size to do different things, but then my hair is a bloody curly frizzy mess and I can mine super sleak with them.
Yeah GHD's are the BEST! i must agree. Though i find you get more control with the slimmer plates, not the tiny ones but the middle size. Especially if you have a fringe or short layers around your face. But they are definately worth every penny!x
Oh My God, my GHD are the best thing I have ever bought!

I have the salon ones which are a wider plate and they sort my thick, unruly hair out in 10 mins, be careful cos they do get v.v.v hot, I have burnt my fingers once or twice but u cannot beat them. If u have thick hair i suggest gettin the salon ones, but for thinner hair then get the narrower ones, also with these you can curl your hair, looks great. I'm getting these as well so I can curl mine!

Also invest in a GOOD heat protector, if u buy the GHD online u normally get their hair protector but I didn't like it as it left my hair feeling heavy, I later found out off my hairdresser it was because it contained fruit oils and she recommed Tresemme one. Thats great!

Ahh! Thanks all :-) Do the narrow ones still work well on thick hair? Or is it just that it takes slightly longer to straighten? Cos I have some wide plated remington ones but I find them quite bulky..they are 6.3 cms though!
I asked this question not so long ago, and im telling you these people do not lie. Ghds are the best ever. I have thick hair and bought the wide plate ones, they are brilliant.

Do the wider plated ones work abroad? Cos that's what tempts me about the new MK4 ones..plus you can curl your hair.
Thinner blade ones do still work on thick hair. I have thin plate GHD's and lots of thick, frizzy hair. Just section your hair a bit more when you straighten and you'll get through all your hair in no time. As for working abroad, I have taken my GHDs abroad to Europe and USA and they've worked everywhere - and they're over 4 years old. I did hear that the older models simply don't heat up as well abroad, but I can't say I noticed any difference. The new versions are meant to be much better at curling though.
