My mother had five children, I'm the only one with green eyes. My mother is biracial, my father is black. Her eyes are brown, my father's are black. My mother's father had green eyes, so do I get my eye color from him, or is eye color suppose to be directly from your parents?

Well your parents get their genes from their parents so your mum could well hold the gene for green eyes.

If you google 'eye colour genetics' there are lots of links that explain it better than I ever could.
You are created solely from your parents' genes, but of course they could be carrying a submissive gene which skips generations, in this case; green eyes.

It happened in our family too. I'm the only blonde which I get from my grandmother on my mother's side, and yet all of my grandmother's children had dark brown hair. Blondes always skip a generation in our family!
