If anyone remembers this, I'm so mad about the whole situation now. My old friend will no longer speak to me even though I have done nothing to her and my new friend after all the help I tried giving her has just text to tell me she's moved back in with him. Losing the house she built up and any independency she'd got back. I'm so mad.

Some people just can't/won't be helped, 4get.

I know how you feel ~ I have had the same experience with my sister (3 weeks after a weekend of crying about him at my place she announced she was marrying the bastad).
I was dragged into a similar situation where the woman accused him of beating her up sexually (bondage etc),owning child porn & stalking her. She got him arrested & he spent a night in the cells, & his house was searched. To cut a very long story short, he was cleared of everything. In the meantime I found out she had a history of doing this to her partners. She tried to get her first husband deported back to Iran ( he'd would have been executed). The 2nd of interfering with their daughter...all lies. I know it's easy to be wise after the event, but in the future don't get involved.BTW the woman in question was in my house with just me several times..I still shudder to think what trouble the could have caused

I'm just really worried because if it happens again, which I hope it doesnt then its even worse for her to ask for help because she's too proud to.
I think all you can do,if possible, is to write her a note and say that you aren't poking your nose in but you just care for her as a friend, and that if she ever needs you then you will always be there and you won't ever say " I told you so".

I sent her a text saying I wish her well but to promise me that if it doesnt go as planned to never be too proud to not go to a friend for help
