grandson aged 15months not breathing
5 Answers
My 15 month old grandson was pushing a door open lunchtime and fell and hit his head on the edge of the door. As he fell he must have blacked out as my daughter picked him up and he was still in the postion as he had been on the floor, almost like a statue. Daughter shouted and shock him a little he came too and then went out again, this time he was floppy and blue all over.I took him from her and laid him down, made sure his airways where clear and he took a breath and cried. Thankfully.!! got him checked out at hospital and he ok now. But I am not sure if he had stopped breathing or not

My grandson stopped breathing again shortly after they got home. Sounds like he was on the floor crying and just collapsed again. My daughter shouted for help as she was on her own with the her other three girls and a neighbour heard and went in. They called an ambulance and he has been taken into hospital. Son-in-law said he didnt know what is happening yet. So I a having to sit here and wait. I feel so worried wish someone would let me know what is going on.
Thankyou for your best wishes. The hospital kept watch on him last night and thankfully he didnt do it again. They think he must have been short of breath and was crying at the same time, resulting in him falling. I saw him fall and though he had hit his head on the door he must of passed out and then fell. He did just have a red line on his temple. Then he came round and went again. And at home my daughter took something from him and he cried and then passed out again. The hospital just said they thought he had got upset and held his breath, like some children do. But today he is poorly with an awful cough and runny nose. So that must have been coming on him yesterday. He gets asthma with a cold so that would result in the lack of breath. My daughter is now keeping a very close eye on him. Poor little man looks so pale.
