I have got somewhat 'involved' with a gorgeous paramedic.....but I cant help but feel rather inadequate in regard to him having a better profession than me. I thought he would have gone for someone close to his own interests profession-wise (like GPs tend to marry GPs etc) - I always feel like I am on a medical when I am with him too....is this all in my head? I also feel like he may judge my body for imperfections - he is lovely though! It is just me getting very paranoid...help....

If so just enjoy it!!
Seriously ~ You post on here and answer regularly enough for me to know that you aren't a dunce, so why the crisis of self confidence? You always come across as well balanced, with a good sense of humour and plenty to say. If you are worried about it and he is a nice bloke, there won't be any harm in a little discussion about how you feel. Good luck to you (you lucky thing you! LOL)

Just one more thought ~ don't you think that he might actually enjoy not having to talk 'shop' for a change? If he was with another paramedic, then conversation may well be all work orientated and it would get boring very quickly.
I'd prefer to be with someone with different interests ~ variety is the spice of life!

Awww areb't you all lovely? Many thanks for your practical answers, much appreciated.....thanks to Samuel123 - 1,000 fragrant blessings be upon you......xx Mr Paramedic is very understanding, loving and a total gentleman, - too good to be true for me i guess......but I will do my utmost to enjoy the time with him and hopefully it may progress into something more long-term with a bit of luck...
Let him be the judge of why he likes you.
My mother is a midwife and cant stand anything medical when she comes out of work. Wont watch casualty and doesnt want anyone asking her about her moans and groans. The reason GPs tend to marry GPs is because a) the only people they interact with is their patients apart from other doctors b) we tend to make most of our long term friends at college and uni, so who did they study withm other doctors. I dont think you will find most paramedics are married to paramedics.
I am having similar issues but mine are far more superficial, he might just be too beautiful for me.
