i was considering making a sweet jacket potato instead of using a normal spud. do sweet potatoes and normal potatoes taste similar and will a sweet potato work as a jacket potato? thanks!
It'll be fine, just remember that the texture won't be exactly the same as a fluffy floury potato. You can still split it and fork it up. Tastes pretty good with some chili butter!
They are fantastic chopped into rings and roasted in olive oil...me and husband eat them just like that as a side dish, well seasoned with black pepper.......
