In the last few years most Credits at the end of programmes are rendered unreadable by being squashed up while an trailer or a presenter appears. Are they obliged to show them ( even if they are microscopic )?

sorry airbolt cant answer your question but i also find it damn annoying especially when after movies are shown (particularly american releases) you get credit lists so long it seems to go on forever ,who for gods sake wants to know who makes the bacon sarnies on the set.
I hate it when they squash up the credits and talk over them.

Morse has been shown over the past few weeks and I've been getting home from work just in time for the end.
I adore the theme but it's drowned out by some to55er telling me that the news follows and that later tonight some character in Emmerdale blah blah blah. Grrrrrrrr.
I also find it very annoying, especially when I want to know the titles of the music or songs used. ITV has the nasty habit of displaying banners accross the screen before the programme has ended.
However, there could be a commercial reason for all this, that is the identification of legitimate and pirate recordings.
With DVD sales so lucrative, and digital copying so accurate, then spoiling broadcasts in this way is a barrier, however small, to the pirates.
