It's that time of the week, again - time to try and predict Kate Mepham's Link Words for this weekends competition - time to try thinking along the same lines as Kate -
so far all four link words have been follow-ons, will it be the same this weekend, or will Kate bowl us a 'googlie' and come up with one of her fathers unique and unexpected 'twisters' - time will tell.
OK going with the usual plan - if our early risers will post the four link words here when they have completed the puzzle and of course submitted their own predictions, the thread will be open to all-comers until Monday morning when we will all be either very pleased with ourselves or wonder why on earth we didn't think of that !!
Thank you Crofter, and good luck to you too. I'm just such a hard-working bunny at the moment, (get the violin out) the simple pleasures of life often fall by the wayside. I was still working when I posted last night/this morning - shock horror! But it's nice to take a few moments out to see what's going on.
Crofter, I did enjoy your riposte about spouses - my husband quite likes me using AB as it keeps me quiet for hours but my teenagers think I am terribly sad and tease me about my AB world. Much better than MSM methinks!
Mr Alibobs is watching the rugby but I am going to ask him his selection - here goes
Spread Bet
Shot gun
Security blanket
Goose step
Two of these are the same as mine - obviously we are made for each other! It took him a minute to get the hang of it - when I shouted our spread he said butter!!
Thanks for your involvement in this thread - it's good fun
Beaten by aquagility on time and by KM on all four answers. What time do yo get your paper. I thought mine was early this morning and I hurriedly worked the links only to be beaten by over half an hour!
I have to go and fetch it, Chiefpanda. But if you get your paper early you can take over the chore any time - I'd be happy to have another hour in bed!
I wouldn't want to deny you an early morning walk Aquagility! I hope the chore is getting upearly and not the fun of the crossword; heaven forbid. I see they are all the second part of the word this week; again.
