Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

After an unexpected early finish today, am trying to finish this but am stuck in the middle. 13D Second-rate leader giving up (5) A?E?D 15D Overage actress losing heart for parts (5) A?E?S and 22D Pole back giving reprimands (4) R??S Brain just isn't working !!

I agree - just worked it out, ERA is another word for AGE turned over.

Think you're right with areas Christiana - Actress losing hear is a****S ; over ERA (age) = Areas = parts (How obscure, huh!?) Thanks, and thanks also to rest of you brill ABers

GK excuse me using this post to respond to your reply to my answer of Ella Fitzgerald. The singer you suggested instead- Enya , was only born in 1961!

Ella was synonymous with 'scat' and I stand by my answer.

Somehow felt you must be right, KK - but I only thought you did Cryptic crosswords!! Don't even listen to jazz anyway, but whizz-kid stepson told me it was Enya. Let's see what the compiler reckons next week. GK

Generally I only do cryptics but when I saw the question about one of my favourites I couldn't resist answering.
