returning goods
i have brought my wife some hair straighteners , on opening the box and unwrapping them she informed me i had brought the wrong ones. when contacting the retailor they told me i cant return them because the box was opened and the seal on the box lid has been broken. they are brand new never been used are they right that i cant return them for the correct ones or get my money back

As long as the goods aren't faulty, there is no obligation whatsoever upon the vendor to exchange the goods or to refund your money. This would apply even if the box had been unopened.
