Does anyone know what a body-wave or a root-perm is?Do they make your hair curly?And if so, is it permanent?Thanks.

A perm is as tight or as lose as you want it to be depending on the size of the rollers used. Big = loose curls.

You can wind a perm tight to the root or away from the root. perm is short for permenant wave, hence the answer to your second part is yes!

a root perm doesnt make your hair curly it just gives your hair more volume
it is permanent but obviously there will be regrowth what will need doing every few weeks x

thats how a bosy wave will look. It gives a sort of tousled look.
