Preg Fiat Punto Selecta (auto) 90 Injector Fault.
Engine runs very well but has developed a strange fault that Fiat cannot sort! On decelerate only the injector light illuminates on the dashboard and the engine cuts out! Quite dangerous! Coast to a stop, put selector into Park and restart the engine and all OK. Run for a few minutes or an hour or even a few days no problem then it wiil happen again without warning!! Fiat have put the car on their diagnostic checker and it came up with 'earth fault ' but earths are good. Is it a faulty injector, ECU, or injector pump?

( blue coral injection cleaner )
even if it doesn't cure the fault the car will run slightly better after it. my pug 406 did.

Thanks for your reply markja. Already put one bottle injector cleaner through the engine. The single injector is located within the carb rather the fuel being injected individually into each cylinder. Intermitant faults are a real pain and posted this question just in case someone else had suffered the same. Fiat aren't much help unfortunately!
