I have an acer aspire laptop with a button on the front for bluetooth, when I press this button it just shows a pop up saying "No Device" , how do I turn it on?

Acer use the same cases for some of their laptops, we bought one as gift at christmas that had no bluetooth built in but still had the switch on the front. Do you know for sure that yours is supposed to have BT installed?
