crb checks for NHS jobs
i got a reprimand at the age of 16, and a warning/ caution at the age of 17 both for shoplifting. i am now 22 yrs old. This year i shall be applying for jobs as a radiographer in the NHS. shall i disclose this infomation on the appliction form when applying where they ask if i have any cautions.Should i say 'no' . do cautions and reprimands become 'spent' after a certain amont of time, and therefore should i still declare it. there is so much competition for jobs these days, wot is a person to do.How will i ever get a job with all this stigma attached.please can someone help me please. i desperatly need some advice.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I myself work for the NHS and know that when you apply they do PECs checks that will bring up if you were ever convicted, if you were just cautioned i wouldnt put that in the form, but if you were interviewed for the job you could bring up that you were reprimanded at age 16 and that if it shows up on the checks they will already know. They cant discriminate for something so trivial.
thank you pinkpoodle19 for your answer. i will declare everything in my application form. its so unfair that after many years somting like that still pops up no matter how long it is.
